Today’s Livestream Plan!

Hey there everyone! This is a reminder that I do plan on livestreaming later today, so if you have nothing better to do than watch me draw, come watch! I hope to do at least 2 short sessions today, one at 4 PM PST and another at 9 PM PST. I’m probably going to start with another portrait for Sktchy, then maybe a comic or two (depending on how fast I work). Or, if a lot of people show up (hey I can dream) I might do doodle requests!

Oh, did you know? On the right side of this blog you can see my art status regarding requests, trades, commissions, and livestreams! It looks like this:

So if you want to check if I’m online or not, you can just look here! The livestream button is also linked directly to my Twitch channel, so you can just click it when the button is green 🙂

Livestream!

Hey there! I’m going to start up a livestream at about 4:30 PST (that’s about half an hour from now), so come watch if you can! I’ll be drawing a portrait from the app Sktchy.

If you can’t come watch (sorry for the short notice!), I’ll probably do another one later in the evening (maybe around 9 PM PST).

EDIT: I have to stop for now, but I’ll be online again tonight around 9 PM PST!

JaNanamation Sketchbook Challenge 01

Introducing JaNanamation’s first Sketchbook Challenge!

jananachallenge01

In an attempt to fill up the blank pages of our many, many sketchbooks, Jan and I have come up with a long list of drawing prompts and ideas! We’ve decided to work on them a little bit at a time, so we’ve arranged them in thematic groups and plan to complete them over short periods of time (so it’s not too overwhelming). We invite you to draw with us!

Guidelines

  • These challenges are meant to be sketchbook fillers, so don’t feel pressured to create polished drawings for each prompt! Concept art, idea scribbles, and messy redraws are encouraged!
  • Prompts don’t have to be completed over consecutive days. While you are certainly welcome to challenge yourself by completing a drawing every day, we realize that other obligations may prevent us from drawing when we want to. Take a rest day if you need to or an extra day or two to brainstorm if a particular prompt has you stumped!
  • You can spend more than one day on a prompt. Sometimes a prompt will inspire you so much that you want to spend more time on it; if so, great! Keep on drawing and move on to the next one when you’re ready! Or maybe a prompt requires more time than you’re able to give that day; go ahead and keep working on it until you’re done!
  • Use at least one whole page (one side) for each prompt. The idea is to fill up our empty sketchbooks (so we can justify buying new ones lol). If you choose to work digitally, do your best to fill the entire canvas!
  • We’d LOVE to see your drawings, so please post your drawings online if you’re comfortable with that! Use the tag #JaNanamation so we can find it!

Jan and I will be starting this theme set on September 1, but feel free to start whenever! The next set of prompts will be posted sometime in the future 😉

BCW: Drawing Prompts — Tam Team Updates

Taking a short break from screencap redraws! My art’s been feeling a bit stale lately so let’s play a game to help get my creative juices flowing! Pick a number and a character (or characters) from Tam Team Adventures and I’ll draw it! Any character that has ever been featured on the site is fair game, […]

Pick a number, any number 😀 I need to get back to drawing things other than comics~~

Livestream!

Livestreaming as I work on some Tam Team art! Come check it out:

This is sort of new for me, so bear with me as I work out the technical stuff 🙂

Livestream over! I think I’ve figured out how it works, so next time I’ll plan ahead and give more advanced notice 🙂

FlowerPower!

If you’re not also following my comic about being part of an app development team, you might not know that we just released our game FlowerPower! for iPhone. It’s a silly platformer about flowers who are trying to chase away construction workers by throwing thorns and releasing pollen (basically it’s a game about allergies lol) and other unique attacks! The download is totally free, so check it out and give it a try!

Will probably do more doodles this week; I hit a wall with Pokemon drawings, plus I am constantly busy with Tam Team Adventures and other projects :’)

Tam Team Adventures

Earlier this week I mentioned a new art project, and here it is: Tam Team Adventures! It’s a series of short comic strips based on my (and Jan’s) experience working on FlowerPower with the rest of the Tam Team. In other words, it’s a bunch of silliness and fun XD

The first comic went up today and there will be a new one every Friday, so if you like reading comics, check it out! 🙂 I’m really excited about this project because I love making comics, and I haven’t worked on one (that has been posted online) in a looonng while.
